Mirabel is a mini skirt sporting a gathered waist and flounces at the bottom. With its practical side pockets and an elasticated waistband that follows the body, it is an easy-to-wear piece that can go perfectly with casual or more formal outfits. Beginners do not have to worry about the French seam and the narrow hem / rolled hem because they are easier to sew than they seem.

This pattern was made to suit hip circumferences from 86 cm (33,9 in) to 154 cm (60,6 in).

Sizing

This pattern was made to suit hip circumferences from 86 cm (33,9 in) to 154 cm (60,6 in).

Fabric

The Mirabel Skirt should be made in a lightweight or midweight fabrics with no stretch such as poplin and twill rayon/viscose types - which includes tencel/lyocell, cupro, modal, etc. - linen-viscose or cotton viscose mixes and sandwashed linen. The fabric can be very fluid and lightweight, as long as it is dark enough to not be see-through.

Materials

You will need between 1m (39,4 in) and 1,75m (68,9 in) of fabric to make this garment.

You will also need 1cm (0,4 in) wide elastic.
